What is conditional review?

Problem: How to help students remember information from courses that might have been taken years earlier?

Solution: Conditional review.

When adding an assignment to a student or a class, there is an option to use the autoscheduler. When a lesson has been completed, the autoscheduler can automatically add the next lesson to the next appropriate school day.

Some of the options include adding the assignment to the next school day, or two days later, once a week, every two weeks, Every Monday, Every Tuesday, etc.

One of the options when assigning a worksheet is "Conditional Review". With this option, if the student achieves a certain minimum score (100%, 90%, 80%, etc.) set by the teacher, the student will automatically be assigned the same worksheet the next day. If the student passes it again, it will be assigned for two days later. Each time the student passes the minimum score the worksheet is scheduled farther and farther out, until it is scheduled for a one year interval.

If the student gets below the minimum target score, the worksheet will be scheduled for the next school day, and the process will start over again.

The purpose of this is to keep reminding the student of key information that was learned. It rewards those who remember the information by scheduling the reviews farther and farther apart up to a maximum of one year, and it increases the number of reviews for those who forget some of the information.
